Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse operations including Receiving, Inventory Control, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping. This role ensures the warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and accurately while meeting service level expectations for internal and external customers. The Warehouse Supervisor leads warehouse personnel, establishes operational priorities, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures product is received, stored, picked, and shipped in a timely and organized manner. This position serves as a key operational leader within the warehouse, responsible for driving productivity, maintaining operational standards, and developing a strong, accountable team.

Essential Duties

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including Receiving, Inventory Control, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
  • Ensure product is received, stored, replenished, picked, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor workflow across the warehouse and adjust labor and priorities to meet daily production goals.
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through proper procedures and cycle count processes.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues that impact order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, or productivity.
  • Ensure proper product handling, storage methods, and warehouse organization standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Support operational planning for peak periods and seasonal volume fluctuations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Planning, Production, Customer Service, and other departments to ensure smooth order flow.
  • Direct, schedule, and coordinate warehouse personnel across all warehouse functions.
  • Train, coach, and develop associates to ensure strong performance and accountability.
  • Establish clear expectations for safety, productivity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring warehouse personnel.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and recommend promotions, corrective actions, or disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in working with all employees and departments.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance in accordance with company policy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of warehouse or distribution experience.
  • 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or operations environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes including receiving, inventory control, replenishment, picking, and shipping.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational results.
