File Clerk
Position Focus: Maintain company files/scanning process
Essential Job Duties:
- Add new material to file records, and create new labels and records as necessary.
Scan or read incoming materials to determine how and where they should be classified or filed. Scanning includes Leases, SDRs, vendor’s insurance, W9, correspondence.
- Annually eliminate outdated or unnecessary materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and legal requirements.
- Enter document identification codes into systems to determine the locations of documents to be retrieved.
- Modify and improve filing systems
- Perform periodic inspections of materials or files to ensure correct placement, legibility, and proper condition.
- Sort or classify information according to property, chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order guidelines.
- Create new folders for properties and other correspondence
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma required. Must have 1- 3 years of filing and office experience
Knowledge and skills:
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Self-starter and ability to work independently
Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word
Typical working conditions:
Office location and able to work part-time 6 hours per week - flexible schedule
Position includes lifting storage boxes, standing, kneeling, and bending
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
