Marketing Intern — "Street Team" (Property Outreach & Engagement) 

Reports to: Property Manager


Status: Temporary (through December), part-time, hourly, non-exempt 

Schedule: Non-traditional hours required — evenings, weekends, gamedays, and campus events 

Position Summary

Know Athens like the back of your hand? Love game days, campus life, and being where the action is? The Lodge of Athens is looking for a Marketing Intern to be the face of our community across town. You'll be out on campus, at tailgates, at sporting events, and at the local spots students already love, building buzz and connecting with future residents face to face. Job Duties 

Outreach & Campus Marketing 

• Table, flyer, and engage with students on campus during regular weekday hours 


• Represent the property at campus events, club fairs, orientation days, and university-sponsored activities 


• Build and maintain relationships with student organizations, Greek life, and campus influencers 

Gameday & Event Marketing 

• Staff a branded booth/tent or walk a promotional route at gamedays, tailgates, and sporting events 


• Distribute branded swag, flyers, and promotional giveaways 


• Capture leads (names/contact info) on-site via a tablet, QR code, or sign-up sheet 

After-Hours / Social Marketing 

• Visit local bars, restaurants, and social spots frequented by students during evenings/weekends 


• Distribute promotional materials and engage prospects in a friendly, brand-appropriate manner 


• Represent the brand appropriately in social settings (Bars, Restaurants, etc.) 

Lead Generation & Reporting 

• Collect prospect contact information and enter into the PMS (Entrata) or hand off to leasing team same-day 


• Track outreach activity (locations visited, materials distributed, leads generated) and report weekly to the Property Manager 


• Provide feedback on what events/locations are generating the best traffic 

Social Media & Content Support 

• Capture photos/video content from events for the property's social media channels 


• Assist with posting, stories, and tagging the property in user-generated content when appropriate 

Brand Representation 

• Wear branded apparel and always represent the property’s image professionally 


• Ensure all messaging is consistent with brand guidelines and community message points 


• Distribute only approved marketing materials 

General Support 

• Assist leasing office with move-in events, resident events, or referral campaigns as needed 


• Attend weekly meetings with the Property Manager and leasing team 

Qualifications 

Required 

• Currently enrolled student or recent graduate of UGA 


• Outgoing, personable, comfortable approaching strangers and initiating conversation 


• Reliable transportation to travel between campus, property, and off-site event locations 


• Available to work non-traditional hours: evenings, weekends, and gamedays (specify minimum hours/week and the expected duration of the temporary assignment  (e.g., one semester, one season) 


• Professional demeanor and appearance consistent with brand standards, even in casual/social settings 


• Basic smartphone proficiency (photos, social media, data entry on a tablet/app) 


• Reliable and punctual — able to independently manage an outreach schedule with minimal day-to-day supervision 

Preferred 

• Prior experience in marketing, sales, promotions, brand ambassador work, or event staffing 


• Existing ties to campus organizations, Greek life, or student groups (built-in network) 


• Social media content creation experience (Instagram/TikTok Stories/Reels) 


• Familiarity with the local market/city 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods at outdoor events 


• Ability to lift/carry promotional materials, tables, tents, or signage (specify weight, e.g., up to 25 lbs) 


• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
