Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Petition Circulator located in Southern, California. The Petition Circulator is responsible for engaging with the public to gather signatures for political petitions. Daily tasks include interacting with potential signers, explaining the purpose of petitions, ensuring accurate completion of required forms, maintaining compliance with state and local laws, and delivering completed petitions to relevant parties. The role requires frequent outdoor work, effective communication, and a commitment to accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with the public and explain petition goals effectively
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Organizational skills to manage and track collected signatures efficiently
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and performance targets
- Prior experience in community organizing or political campaigning is a plus
- Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods, including in varied weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Note: Preference for Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, & Riverside Counties. Statewide work available.
