Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting operational excellence across the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Perform inspections and evaluations of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify nonconformances and ensure product integrity.
Continuous Improvement
- Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Analyze quality metrics and trends to proactively prevent defects and reduce variation.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
- Lead investigations into quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of inspections, test results, and quality data.
- Prepare and present regular quality performance reports, highlighting trends, improvements, and key achievements.
Supplier Quality Management
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct supplier audits and support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply base.
Quality Systems & Standards
- Stay current on applicable quality standards, regulations, and best practices to support compliance and continuous competitiveness.
- Support audits and contribute to ongoing improvements of the quality management system.
Training & Quality Culture
- Train production and support personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of quality tools, methodologies, and problem-solving techniques.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and assurance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Experience with statistical analysis and quality management software.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
