- Must have the ability to be reached by phone for the duration of the 173-day assignment and as needed during the off period
- None required (training provided by Splendora Police Department)
- Direct and stop traffic to allow students and pedestrians to cross safely.
- Ensure students follow safety procedures when crossing streets.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to identify potential hazards.
- Maintain and properly use all safety equipment (stop sign, vest, etc.).
- Wear uniform and safety vest during all duty hours.
- Report suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, or traffic incidents to the Transportation Supervisor.
- Communicate crossing rules and safety procedures to students, parents, and staff when necessary.
- Manage large groups of children and maintain order during crossings.
- Arrive on time for all assigned shifts and work in various weather conditions.
- Follow all Splendora ISD and Splendora Police Department guidelines.
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
