About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Audio Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of audio recording, editing, mixing, and production, along with a passion for creating high-quality sound experiences.
In this role, you will work closely with producers, creative teams, content creators, and other stakeholders to record, edit, mix, and deliver professional-quality audio for a variety of projects. The successful candidate should be technically skilled, creative, organized, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, edit, mix, and master audio for podcasts, videos, digital content, presentations, and other productions.
- Set up, operate, and maintain microphones, mixing consoles, audio interfaces, monitors, and other studio equipment.
- Perform sound checks and troubleshoot audio issues during recording and production.
- Clean and enhance recordings by reducing background noise, distortion, echo, and other unwanted sounds.
- Create balanced and polished audio mixes that meet professional quality standards.
- Collaborate with producers, editors, designers, and content teams to achieve the desired creative vision.
- Manage audio files, sessions, tracks, and project assets using organized workflows.
- Ensure audio levels, formats, and technical specifications meet production and distribution requirements.
- Monitor recording sessions and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot audio equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Stay current with emerging audio technology, production techniques, plugins, and industry standards.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in audio engineering, sound production, recording, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of audio recording, editing, mixing, and mastering techniques.
- Proficiency with professional Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Adobe Audition, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with microphones, audio interfaces, mixers, studio monitors, and other professional audio equipment.
- Understanding of EQ, compression, reverb, noise reduction, gain staging, and signal flow.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and sound quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a creative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with podcasting, video production, live streaming, broadcasting, or digital media.
- Experience with voice-over recording and dialogue editing.
- Knowledge of audio post-production for video.
- Familiarity with surround sound, spatial audio, or immersive audio technologies.
- Experience working in a professional studio or production environment.
- Portfolio or examples of previous audio work.
