Swim Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and related activities. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques to individuals of all ages, ensuring safety in the water, and fostering a positive learning environment. Your role will be crucial in helping students develop their swimming skills while promoting water safety.

Duties

• Conduct swimming lessons for various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
• Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
• Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized swimming area, including equipment used during lessons.
• Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other instructors to create engaging group classes and activities.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a swim instructor or similar role is preferred.
• Lifeguard experience is highly desirable.
• Background in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or childcare is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students of all ages.
• Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is essential.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively in a group setting.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but can be obtained after hiring. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students through the joy of swimming!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
