Role Description This is an internship role for a Social Media Marketing Intern. The position is hybrid, based in Birmingham, AL, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Social Media Marketing Intern will assist with planning, creating, and scheduling content for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant channels. Daily responsibilities include supporting photo and video content creation, drafting captions, engaging with followers, monitoring comments and messages, and helping to maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style. The intern will also help track performance metrics, research trends, identify influencer and partnership opportunities, and collaborate with the team on digital campaigns and product launches. This role offers hands-on experience in fashion marketing and an opportunity to contribute creative ideas to a growing brand.
Qualifications
- Strong interest and skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation, with familiarity across major platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
- Foundational knowledge of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles, especially as they relate to fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear writing, professional online interaction, and the ability to present ideas to a creative team.
- Creativity, visual awareness, and an eye for on-brand aesthetics, including basic skills in photo/video capture or editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools) preferred.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Fashion, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, design-driven environment in Birmingham, AL (with some remote work flexibility).
- Genuine passion for fashion, streetwear, and emerging trends, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
