What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food & Beverage Attendant position at SPLASHDOWN BEACH WATERPARK?
GENERAL PURPOSE
SplashDown Beach, America’s Biggest Little Water Park located in Fishkill, NY, is seeking a Food & Beverage Attendant. The ideal candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced food stand, taking food orders for an average of 2000 guests a day. Seeking a strong team player who works in conjunction and cohesively with others and under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director.
Minimum Age Requirement: 16 Years Old
This is a seasonal position beginning as early as Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Department Training and Orientation must be attended prior to starting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take accurate guest orders in a timely and hospitable manner
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions
- Prepare components of each order (beverages, condiments, etc.)
- Memorize ingredients in menu items to accurately relay any allergy concern to our guests
- Ensure that all front of the house areas exceed sanitation standards
- Collaborate with team to prep to restaurant for next day
- Constantly monitor Guest Experience by soliciting feedback
- Several years demonstrated leadership skills within a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated cash handling skills
- Strong hospitality skill-set and impeccable sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to work on your feet throughout the day and lift 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis
- Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
- Must be able to effectively communicate and understand English
- Flexible Schedule; must be available a minimum of 5 days a week, prepared to work weekends and holidays
