What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Automotive Service Advisor/Operations Manager position at Splash N' Dash ExpressLube?
Bilingual Automotive Service Advisor / Operations Manager
Splash N’ Dash ExpressLube is seeking an experienced, fully bilingual Automotive Service Advisor / Operations Manager to lead the daily administrative, sales and operational functions of our express oil change, general automotive repair and hand car wash business.
Professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
This is not an automotive technician or master-mechanic position. Our mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and performing mechanical repairs. The Operations Manager must understand the mechanic’s diagnosis, ask the correct questions, prepare an accurate estimate, locate and order parts, explain the repair to the customer, obtain authorization and manage the service process through final delivery and post-service follow-up.
Main Responsibilities
Operations and Employee Leadership
* Direct the daily operation of two express oil-change bays, one mechanical-repair bay and the car wash operation.
* Organize vehicle flow, employee assignments, pending estimates, parts orders and delivery times.
* Supervise lube technicians, mechanic workflow and car wash personnel.
* Lead short daily opening meetings to review workload, priorities and performance expectations.
* Conduct regular employee coaching, training and accountability meetings.
* Address attendance, productivity, customer-service and workplace-conduct issues.
* Maintain a clean, organized and professional operation.
* Report operational, staffing and customer concerns to ownership.
Automotive Estimates and Parts
* Receive diagnoses and repair recommendations from the mechanic.
* Use Mitchell 1 or comparable software to research labor times and prepare estimates.
* Prepare complete customer quotations, including labor, parts, markup, shop supplies and taxes.
* Locate and compare parts from multiple suppliers.
* Verify part numbers, prices, availability, warranties and delivery times.
* Order and track parts, returns, credits, warranties and core charges.
* Obtain documented customer authorization before beginning additional work.
* Monitor repair orders from diagnosis through completion.
* Keep customers informed about repair progress, delays and completion times.
Customer Service and Sales
* Manage customer check-in and checkout.
* Explain services and repair recommendations clearly in English and Spanish.
* Sell oil changes, filters, wipers, batteries, brakes, fluid services, mechanical repairs and car wash packages.
* Present legitimate recommendations professionally without high-pressure sales tactics.
* Follow up on pending estimates and previously declined services.
* Handle customer questions, complaints, warranties and service concerns.
* Perform post-service follow-up, verify customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business and reviews.
Software and Administrative Systems

* GoHighLevel for customer communication, automated follow-up, marketing and customer reactivation.
* Automotive parts-supplier platforms for pricing, ordering, tracking, returns and warranties.
* Email, text messaging, digital inspections and operating reports.
Previous experience with Mitchell 1, DropTop and Steer CRM is strongly preferred. Experience with comparable automotive platforms will also be considered if the candidate demonstrates strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Required Qualifications
* Professionally fluent in both English and Spanish.
* At least four years of automotive service-industry experience.
* At least two years as an Automotive Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager, Quick Lube Manager or Automotive Operations Manager.

* Experience using automotive POS and CRM platforms.
* Proven automotive customer-service and sales ability.
