Responsibilities
- Lead daily salon operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality grooming services.
- Drive sales by engaging with customers, promoting grooming packages, and upselling products and services.
- Provide expert guidance on dog handling, grooming techniques, and animal restraint to team members.
- Train and mentor staff on pet care best practices, customer service excellence, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pets and clients alike.
- Collaborate with veterinary professionals when needed to support pets’ health and well-being.
- Manage appointment scheduling, client communication, and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming, dog training, or animal handling roles.
- Background in veterinary technician or assistant work, with knowledge of veterinary procedures preferred.
- Strong understanding of animal care practices including pet sitting, kennel experience, and pet grooming.
- Ability to handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques; experience with heavy lifting is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with veterinary experience or equine experience is advantageous but not required.
- Passion for animals and commitment to providing compassionate care in a team-oriented environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
