We’re searching for a Sample Preparation Technician to support sample preparation and processing within our environmental laboratory team in Commerce City, CO.
This position supports sample preparation activities for EPA 500-series analytical methods and plays an important role in delivering accurate, high-quality data for environmental testing programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and motivated to learn laboratory processes and analytical techniques within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and process environmental samples in accordance with established laboratory methods and procedures
- Assist with laboratory instrumentation, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities
- Accurately document laboratory activities, analytical results, and quality control data within LIMS
- Assist with performing routine equipment calibration, quality control checks, and laboratory housekeeping activities
- Follow SOP's, QA/QC requirements, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures
- Support laboratory workflow, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory personnel to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Hands-on laboratory experience gained through employment, internships, research projects, or academic coursework
- Previous professional experience working in fast-paced, high-throughput environments
- Familiarity with EPA 500-series methods and solid phase extraction (SPE) is a plus but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy, quality, and productivity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform structured, process-driven work with consistency
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and meet established deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain efficiency throughout the workday
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new systems, processes, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and take appropriate corrective action
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
