A Resident Services Director (RSD) manages the daily operations, care services, and social programming for residents in senior living, assisted living, or multifamily housing communities. They ensure regulatory compliance, lead staff, act as a liaison between families and staff, and improve resident quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care & Services: Coordinate care plans, oversee Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and manage health emergencies.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule caregivers, nurses, or concierge staff.
- Family Liaison: Communicate with families regarding resident health, care plan adjustments, and incidents.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with state regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Programming & Engagement: Develop and implement activities, services, and social programs to promote well-being.
- Operational Management: Manage department budgets, assist with move-ins/move-outs, and monitor emergency systems.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in assisted living, nursing, or hospitality management.
