Auto Parts Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Auto Parts Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting customers and our auto body technicians in obtaining the right automotive parts and accessories, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for the automotive industry. A strong knowledge of automotive components, retail sales, and inventory management is highly valued. Spivey's Body Shop has been providing professional collision repair to Ellijay Georgia and the surrounding area since 1980.

Responsibilities

• Assist estimator and technicians in identifying and obtaining automotive parts that have been damaged due to a collision.
• Maintain inventory of commonly used automotive supplies.
• Manage inventory levels through inventory control, stock stocking, and order fulfillment to ensure product availability.
• Use collision estimating and parts procurement software daily.
• Maintain relationships with multiple parts vendors.
• Operate POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties accurately.
• Maintain organized personal space and stock areas.
• Assist estimators and technicians with tasks outside of job description if needed.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone etiquette, in person, or online with professionalism and clarity.
• Use organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall profits.

Experience

• Must possess a thorough knowledge of automobile components.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive service is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CCC or other collision estimating software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and negotiation abilities, are essential.
• Prior experience in automotive repair or auto parts sales will be considered an asset. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent customer service skills, technical automotive knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
