Employment law experience is a plus, but it is not required. We care far more about drive, judgment, work ethic, and commitment to helping people than GPA or clasSpitz, The Employee’s Law Firm, is looking for an attorney to help employees across Toledo and Northwest Ohio stand up to unlawful workplace conduct.
This position is ideal for a lawyer who wants direct client contact, practical litigation experience, and work that has a real impact on working people and their families. Employees often contact us when their careers, income, reputations, and dignity are on the line. They may be dealing with workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, unpaid wages, medical leave violations, or a termination that should not have happened.
As part of our employee-side employment law team, you will help clients understand their rights, evaluate the strength of their claims, prepare administrative charges and legal filings, communicate with opposing parties and agencies, and push cases toward meaningful results. You will be expected to take ownership, stay organized, communicate clearly, and help move files forward with urgency and care.
This is a hands-on attorney role. You will learn by doing, with support from experienced litigators who know how to build employment cases from intake through resolution. The right candidate does not need to come in as an employment law expert. We are looking for someone with strong judgment, persuasive communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the drive to become an excellent advocate for employees.
