1st Shift - Monday to Friday

The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe delivery and pickup of materials between SpiTrex CTE and its external vendors. This role supports production flow by ensuring materials arrive and return as scheduled and maintains strict adherence to communication protocols and reporting chains.

Physical demands: Position Summary:
The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe delivery and pickup of materials between SpiTrex CTE and its external vendors. This role supports production flow by ensuring materials arrive and return as scheduled and maintains strict adherence to communication protocols and reporting chains.
Essential Functions
- Follow instructions accurately and consistently, with strong attention to detail
- Maintain awareness of basic cosmetic and packaging standards for outbound and inbound materials
- Verify and sign off on all documentation for out-vending, including manifests and delivery logs
- Assist in preparing products for vendor transport, including staging and label verification
- Support accurate and timely check-in of returned vendor material
- Complete scheduled pickup/drop-off delivery routes daily, or as determined by the Expediter
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning company vehicle
- Assist with basic loading/unloading tasks if required by vendor sites
- Comply with all applicable medical device, quality, and safety regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820)
- Accurately record and report any materials that do not return the same day, including vendor name and reason
- Follow all routing and delivery documentation provided by the Expeditor or authorized personnel
- Other duties as assigned
- The Driver may contact vendors directly only to share logistical status updates (e.g., estimated arrival, delay notifications)
- The Driver is not authorized to make decisions or commitments on behalf of SpiTrex regarding scheduling, delivery times, or order status
- All vendor questions or comments that could impact scheduling or delivery plans must be immediately escalated to the Expeditor
- If the Expeditor is unavailable, escalate to the Final Process Department Supervisor or South Plant Manager
- In all cases, ensure the Expeditor is informed of the issue and final resolution
- All work-related communications must be conducted using company-approved devices and platforms to ensure data security, regulatory compliance, and consistency in operations
- Ability to comply with quality and safety system requirements
- Ability to read and follow written job instructions and trip manifests
- Basic organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Professional demeanor with vendors and team members
- Demonstrates respect, accountability, and a positive attitude in all interactions
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
