About the Role
At Spiritual Hands, reliable transportation helps people stay connected to their communities. We’re looking for an organized, dependable Dispatcher to coordinate daily trips, support our drivers, and help ensure every client receives safe, timely, and courteous service.
The ideal candidate communicates clearly, stays calm when plans change, and can manage multiple priorities while keeping client needs at the center of each decision.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate daily transportation: Schedule trips, assign drivers, and plan efficient routes using WellRyde and other transportation management tools.
- Monitor trips in real time: Track vehicles through GPS, monitor pickups and drop-offs, and adjust schedules as needed.
- Keep drivers informed: Communicate trip details, client needs, schedule changes, and service updates accurately and promptly.
- Support clients: Answer calls professionally, provide transportation updates, and resolve scheduling concerns with patience and respect.
- Maintain accurate records: Document trip information, driver activity, cancellations, delays, and other service details.
- Coordinate vehicle availability: Work with drivers and fleet staff to account for vehicle readiness, maintenance schedules, and safety requirements.
- Improve daily operations: Identify scheduling and routing challenges and help develop practical solutions that improve reliability and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in dispatching, transportation scheduling, logistics coordination, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear, professional communication and excellent phone etiquette.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, respond to unexpected changes, and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Comfort using GPS, routing software, multi-line phones, and computer systems.
- Accurate data entry skills and the ability to learn new software.
- A dependable, team-oriented approach and a commitment to respectful client service.
Preferred: Experience with WellRyde or similar transportation management software, along with familiarity with fleet operations and transportation safety requirements.
