What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Tech II position at Spirit Mountain Casino?
Summary:
Perform a variety of computer operations. Monitor console control panels and makes procedural and/or operational corrections as necessary. Provides on call support and manages development projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor mainframe and mid-range computer and peripheral equipment to include modems, printers, tape and disk drives, servers, PCs.
- Monitor network monitor panel for faults or problems.
- Provide recommendations on company technology purchases.
- Document computer problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Remove and distribute computer equipment and output.
- Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve issues.
- Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience utilizing the fundamentals of typical computer systems, operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Ability toread and apply technical manuals.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of computing and network hardware and peripheral equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of computing software and domain network operation, implementation, and security.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Work with users requires interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- Verify right to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Conditions
The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however, a smoking environment does exist in the building.
