What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cage Cashier position at Spirit Mountain Casino?
A Cashier is responsible and accountable for all cash and cash equivalents left in their care. A Cashier reports both to the Lead Cashier and the Casino Manager. The Cashier’s primary duties include the following:
· Selling and redeeming cash for customers
· Paying out machine tickets
· Processing jackpot and hand pay requests
· Verifying opening Cage cash inventory
· Preparing closing cash inventory sheets
· Keeping Cashier Bank balanced, and stocked at the appropriate levels for each class of inventory
· Maintaining current status on periodic Title 31 training and testing
· Adhering to record-keeping requirements necessary to facilitate compliance with Title 31
· Performing other duties as assigned
A Cashier must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED and should be experienced in the use of coin and currency counters, and ten-key calculators. The individual must be able to pass a private background check, as well as a pre-employment drug test. One year of Casino Cage experience is required. Experience in the SDS and CMP systems is preferred, though experience in a comparable system may be accepted at the discretion of management. The Cashier must be able to pull, bend, and squat, and lift up to 50 pounds. The Cashier must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, and work in a smoke-filled environment.
