SpiritLife, a faith-based inpatient substance abuse treatment facility located in Penn Run, PA, is seeking a dedicated and dependable Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
The Kitchen Assistant will support the Chef in daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation, maintaining food and supply inventories, and ordering food and kitchen supplies. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while ensuring all meals are prepared in accordance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- weekends as needed
- Shifts may start as early as 6:30 AM and end as late as 6:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintain inventory of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies
- Assist with ordering food and supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other departments
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Reliable attendance and flexibility with scheduling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
