Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Home Health

Role Summary
Spirit Homecare & Hospice is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home therapy services. You will help patients regain mobility, strength, and independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative care team.
Compensation & Schedule
- Per-visit rate: $45 per completed visit (includes travel reimbursement)
- Flexible scheduling: full caseload or PRN assignments
- Work closely with PTs, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Professional growth through mentorship and ongoing training

Key Responsibilities
- Provide therapy treatments under PT supervision
- Assist patients with exercises to improve mobility, strength, balance, and coordination
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility and home exercises
- Document patient interactions and progress in compliance with agency and Medicare standards
- Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings as needed
- Follow all safety and clinical quality guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
- Experience in home health preferred; SNF or outpatient experience considered
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage visits independently while collaborating with the care team
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
Schedule & Service Area
- Monday–Friday with flexible hours based on caseload
- Travel between patient homes and facilities required
- Coverage: West Chester Township and surrounding communities
