Job Overview
Spirit EMS is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic Supervisor to help maintain and support our growing fleet of more than 80 vehicles. This position is responsible for keeping ambulances and support units safe, reliable, and ready for service. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, experienced in diagnostics and repair, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This role also includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and inspections on ambulances and light- to medium-duty vehicles
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Support daily fleet readiness and help prioritize repair needs
- Assist with oversight of shop workflow and fleet maintenance operations
- Ensure vehicles meet safety and preventative maintenance standards
- Communicate effectively with leadership and crew members regarding vehicle status and repair timelines
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- ASE certification preferred
- Supervisory or lead technician experience preferred
- Wrecker/tow truck experience is a plus
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on ambulances and light- to medium-duty vehicles
- Knowledge of safety standards and preventative maintenance best practices
- Ability to produce high-quality workmanship while working efficiently
