Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation, and regulations on company operations, and as a result develops, and implements appropriate programs.
- Works regularly with regulatory agencies, internal and external environmental contact
- Coordinates and conveys input into the developing legislation and regulatory programs by meeting with representatives of industry, regulatory agencies, government, and the public.
- Conducts studies and performs analyses and calculations involving appropriate design, selection, installation, and operation of pollution control equipment, waste and chemical process systems, and remediation.
- Develops, implements, and monitors environmental projects and programs ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits and the mission, goals, and objectives of the company.
- Prepares permit applications and regulatory reports.
- Integrates and assists in the development of company data management systems for environmental programs.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience OR masters degree with 0-2 years of experience, preferably an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
