We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral health services to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA.
- Assist in the assessment and development of care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Provide direct support to children in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to promote positive behavior changes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in treatment approaches across different environments.
- Monitor client progress and report any significant changes or concerns to the supervising BCBA.
Qualifications
*Must be available Monday-Friday 3-7pm. Potential availability for more hours during the weekend.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Patience and empathy in dealing with challenging behaviors while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to assist in developing care plans that meet individual client needs.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance is essential.
