Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly connected Senior Market Manager to lead our craft spirits portfolio across California and potentially the correct candidate may be able to oversee adjacent markets. While we expect you to engage with the California distributor and key accounts in this important market, this role goes beyond just customer management. You’ll be responsible for driving commercial strategy, elevating brand presence, managing distributor performance, and identifying new growth opportunities. Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in the spirits industry, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for craft and independent brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial strategy and execution for the California market, aligned with national sales goals
- Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with key on- and off-premise accounts
- Partner with distributor leadership to ensure prioritization, performance, and accountability
- Guide the placement, visibility, and velocity of our portfolio of brands across all relevant channels
- Act as senior brand ambassador at trade events, educational seminars, and strategic partnerships
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and sales data to inform strategy
- Mentor and support junior market reps or brand ambassadors as needed
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and national sales team on integrated planning
Qualifications:
- 5 years of sales and brand management experience in the spirits industry
- Extensive network within California’s top accounts and distributor landscape
- Proven track record of driving premium brand growth in complex markets
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, planning, and leadership skills
- Deep knowledge of the craft spirits space and evolving consumer trends
- Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
- Proficiency with CRM tools, sales analytics, and territory planning
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the region
