What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector/Specialist position at Spirent?

The Quality Control Inspector will report to the regional Quality Manager and be responsible for initial compliance, ongoing preparation, and monitoring of established quality assurance processes and standards for company products and services. Working closely with production, the Quality Control Inspector will perform inspections of products and materials, evaluate internal controls, provide communications and assessments, and maintain documentation as related to compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Other responsibilities include performing internal audits, risk assessments, and facilitating internal training on QC requirements, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, technical school diploma or Associate degree preferred or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in Quality Assurance, Inspection, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Competency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and diagrams.
  • Solid understanding of quality control practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity and experience with electronic components and assemblies a major plus.
  • Certifications as an ASQ ISO Auditor, Lean / Six Sigma, CQE are a plus.

 

Annualized Salary Wage Range: $65,000 - $80,000

Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
