What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Spire Systems?
- Basic Windows and VMware administration experience.
- Strong cable management skills and experience running fiber and copper cables in data center.
- Basic understanding of how to use VMware virtual environment ex: power on and power off VMs.
- Basic experience with CENTOS, Ubuntu, or other Linux distributions.
- Strong understanding of cable patch panel connections.
- Being able to differentiate between copper and Fiber optics and cables.
- Clear communication through Emails, Messages, and Ticket updates
- Understanding Priorities: SLA requirements
- Quick Responsiveness and Follow up.
- Knowing how to SSH and Console into devices.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Basic understanding of power and cooling and how it can affect the lab.
- Good work ethics
- Basic troubleshooting skills on network outages are a plus.
- Working experience on Firewalls is a plus.
- Handson experience on Cisco and Arista switches is a plus.
