The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Engineering support and services to current and potential customers, as well as Spiral Brushes' Inside Sales/Service and Estimating, Purchasing, Production and Maintenance. The role involves Customer Application consulting, Product Design and Development, Manufacturing Tooling and Production Process support, Materials Selection, and Plant Engineering for building, equipment, and safety. A collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you thrive as an Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Inter-disciplinary Work with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and General Management team
- Create CAD drawings for Custom Brush Estimating & Customer Acceptance, Production Tooling, and Safety Engineering
- Serve as liaison with Vendors to determine and communicate appropriate materials specifications
- Assist Production and Maintenance with problem solving and resolution of production issues.
- Leadership for Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Programs, including periodic safety tours and final inspections of manufactured brush products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study
- Working knowledge of metals, plastics, abrasives, surface finishing, production tooling design, machinery design
- 5 years' of experience in production or manufacturing engineering
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
