Church Name: Spinning Road Baptist Church, Riverside, Ohio
Job Title: Pastor – Full-time
Spinning Road Baptist Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Ohio and seeking someone who shares the same conservative value system as our church. Our congregation is culturally and economically diverse and has a thriving youth program. Sunday worship includes a blended music program with a praise band, choir, and hymns. Our ministries include: a preschool; a food pantry; AWANA program; Vacation Bible School; Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets; and Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.
The Pastor must possess the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
Duly ordained minister and preacher of the gospel who subscribes to, teaches, and preaches in accordance with the doctrines of faith and beliefs of the American Baptist Churches of Ohio.
Experienced, dynamic spiritual leader and teacher who knows Christ intimately through personal experience
One who relies upon the power and direction of the Holy Spirit and who believes in the inspiration of the Bible and uses it as his authority.
An energetic, religious administrator with an outgoing, friendly, pleasing positive personality.
One who is sensitive to the spiritual needs of the congregation and the individuals who comprise it.
One who believes in and is willing to become personally committed to a program of personal evangelism, visitation, and Christian ministerial service in the community.
Pastor responsibilities include but not limited to:
Be the spiritual leader of the Church and its activities.
Arrange for and guide the worship at all regular services of the Church.
Administer the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper as taught in the scriptures.
Comfort the sorrowing, assist the sick and distressed, and give counsel to those in need.
Serve as ex officio member of the Church Council, and of all teams and standing committees of the Church.
Supervise/manage the work of the employed staff of the Church.
Assist in employing a secretary for himself when authorized by the Church at salary and conditions of employment set forth by the Property Stewardship Team.
Perform all other duties usually incumbent upon the pastoral office.
