Spinnaker Contract Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support our production equipment and facility systems. This position will be responsible for developing and performing preventive maintenance (PM) to keep equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently while minimizing production downtime.
This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working directly on the manufacturing floor, and taking ownership of equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and maintain accurate PM records.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and equipment-related issues.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and work with Production to minimize downtime.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned equipment.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems before equipment failure occurs.
- Coordinate outside service technicians and equipment vendors when necessary.
- Maintain equipment manuals, maintenance records, service history, and recommended spare-parts information.
- Identify critical spare parts and help maintain appropriate inventory.
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, relocation, and upgrades.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all company safety procedures.
Equipment Supported
The Maintenance Technician will support a variety of manufacturing and facility equipment, including:
- Wave solder equipment
- Selective solder equipment
- AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines
- X-ray inspection equipment
- Air compressors and compressed-air systems
- Electronics/PCBA manufacturing equipment
- Additional production and facility equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Previous industrial, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or field service experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Comfortable troubleshooting equipment directly on the production floor.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, engineers, and equipment vendors.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment issues from identification through resolution.
- Experience maintaining electronics manufacturing/PCBA equipment is highly desirable.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
