What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician - Aerospace Wire Harnesses position at Spingarage LLC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
Spingarage LLC is a technology leader in rapid production of Aerospace & Defense wire harnesses using industry-first digital quoting, ordering, & production efficiency systems resulting in a world-class production efficiency. In this role, we’re looking for an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN to use the Spingarage proprietary software suite to deliver production ready harness designs to the production floor. Spingarage is rapidly scaling and this is an opportunity to join the ground floor and accelerate your career in a fast paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizing Spingarage Software tool suite to create ready to build definition
- Review customer drawings and requests to determine build specifications
- Determine final wire length for all wires resulting in an in-spec final product
- Utilize and review pin-mapping tools to verify production readiness
- Design finishing solutions such as over-braid, over-wrap and other treatments.
- Utilize software suite to verify tool planning from connector, contact, through tooling
- Complete digital work instructions by ordering steps appropriately for each build
- Utilize WireForge to create digital and printed formboards when required
- Source tooling for new parts groups
- Support Quoting group by performing, reviewing, and determining part substitutions when required
- Document & Disposition Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Implement 5 whys, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience performing technical tasks, such as aerospace, motorsports, or industrial wiring, fuel, data, vehicle assembly, or other systems resulting in the ability to generate step-by-step instructions of a new task.
- Direct experience reading detail part drawings with high parts count BOM’s
- Direct experience determining order of operations steps for manufacturing
- Strong foundation in logic, reasoning, and math (addition, subtraction, unit conversions) applied to real world measurement topics
- Demonstrated capability to bring solutions to problems by following a systematic problem-solving approach.
- Demonstrated ability to self-improve.
- Ability to creatively design a solution and follow through to implementation in at least one relevant medium such as Dev Ops. CAD, 3d printing, or fabrication
- Strong skills in basic math & tolerances.
- 1 year experience in a relevant field.

A good-faith pay range for this position is $ 24/hr to $ 28/hr.
