DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
POSITION OVERVIEW
Spingarage LLC is a technology leader in rapid production of Aerospace & Defense wire harnesses using industry-first digital quoting, ordering, & production efficiency systems resulting in a world-class production efficiency. Our DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS will be empowered to aggressively grow production capability & manage daily operations in an exceptionally controlled and efficient manner. In this role you’ll oversee both production engineering & technician groups to produce high quality aerospace wire harnesses at an industry changing throughput.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage production operations resulting in on time delivery of products
- Manage production support groups such as engineering, kitting, & quality, resulting in production efficiency
- Develop employees through technical training, leadership mentorship, & personal empowerment
- Work with leadership to determine and hire staff to meet growth targets
- Connect with team by providing supplemental engineering & production floor build support as available
- Learn & become proficient with Spingarage proprietary production software suites
- Create a continuous improvement culture that embraces process, software, data, & communication solutions
- Create a high energy, high morale, & empowered team capable of achieving greatness
- Systematically improve process behind the world’s best aerospace wire harness production system
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience becoming rapidly proficient in complex operations
- Experience producing products within cost & schedule constraints
- Experience developing highly successful staff by providing mentorship, training, and opportunities resulting in others highly successful careers.
- Experience assembling a team while creating a positive work environment for staff with varied backgrounds.
- Hands-on experience performing engineering design on vehicle systems
- Hands-on experience building & assembling vehicle systems
- Strong foundations in logic & reasoning with a demonstrated track record of bringing the right solutions to problems.
- Experience in rate-based production systems
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action implementations, kanban systems, inventory management, & other production efficiency systems.
