Medical Biller

SpineSearch is seeking a medical biller to assist a private spine practice in Manhattan.

Position is full time, Monday through Friday, in person - offers a competitive salary based on experience, and a full suite of benefits..

Requirements of the Medical Biller:

• High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree preferred
• Must have 1-2 years of experience in medical billing
• Experience with OON, speaking with insurances/patients, and appeals is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Orthopedics, Spine and pain management

Responsibilities of the Medical Biller:

• Register and update patient demographics in the EMR system
• Verifies completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission, ensure all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errors.
• Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions, or exclusions.
• Data Entry.
• Assist with payment posting, charge posting, and collections as needed
• Increasing monthly collections in the revenue cycle department by implementing strategic billing practices and optimizing revenue management workflows.
