SpineSearch is partnering with a private orthopedic group in New York City to hire an experienced Medical Biller to join their growing team. This is a full-time, onsite position, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle medical billing process, including claim submission, payment posting, and denial management
- Perform thorough A/R follow-up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Investigate and resolve denied or underpaid claims with insurance carriers
- Work extensively with out-of-network (OON) billing and reimbursement processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records
- Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and improve workflow efficiency
Qualifications:
- 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in orthopedics or a surgical specialty
- Strong A/R follow-up and denial resolution skills
- Solid understanding of out-of-network (OON) billing
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines, payer policies, and reimbursement processes
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
