SpineSearch is working with a growing, multi-provider Pain Management and Spine practice in Somerset, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager / Practice Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day clinical and business operations. This leadership role requires a hands-on professional with strong clinical oversight experience, operational expertise, and financial acumen who can drive efficiency, enhance patient care, and support organizational growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing healthcare teams, improving practice performance, overseeing budgets, and implementing operational best practices within a physician practice setting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across clinical and administrative departments.
- Lead, mentor, and manage clinical and support staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Develop and implement workflows that improve patient experience, provider efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, OSHA, HIPAA, and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and practice growth.
- Monitor patient flow, staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Financial & Business Management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Analyze practice performance metrics, productivity reports, and key operational indicators.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce expenses, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Partner with billing and revenue cycle teams to optimize collections, reimbursement, and financial performance.
- Oversee inventory management, vendor relationships, and supply chain operations.
Practice Growth & Strategic Development
- Support expansion initiatives, new service lines, and operational projects.
- Implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to improve organizational performance.
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of healthcare leadership or practice management experience required.
- Prior experience within Pain Management, Spine, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, or a multi-specialty physician practice required.
- Strong understanding of physician practice operations, revenue cycle management, and healthcare finance.
- Experience managing clinical and administrative staff.
- Demonstrated success in operational improvement, workflow optimization, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 annually, based on experience.
- Monday through Friday schedule.
