A growing neurosurgery practice is seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join its team. The Physician Assistant will work closely with board-certified neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary clinical staff to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological and spine-related conditions. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, surgical assistance, inpatient and outpatient management, post-operative care, and coordination of individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Evaluation & Clinical Care
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
- Evaluate patients presenting with neurological and spine-related conditions.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies, including MRI, CT, X-ray imaging, and laboratory testing.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the attending neurosurgeon.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as clinically indicated.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification (PA-C).
- Active state Physician Assistant license or ability to obtain licensure.
- Previous experience in neurosurgery, orthopedic spine, orthopedic surgery, trauma, or a related surgical specialty preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
