Spinelli CPA, a Woman-Owned Accounting and Advisory Firm located in Worcester, MA, goes above and beyond traditional accounting services. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented self-starter with 4 years of public accounting, auditing and tax experience to lead engagements and provide an array of services to our business and individual clients.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and prepare tax returns for business and individual clients
· Manage and prepare audit and review engagements
· Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting including tax planning, research, advisory and compliance
· Prepare clear and concise tax workpapers and manage audit and tax filings and projects for a variety of business (for-profit and not-for-profit) and individual tax returns
· Establish budgets and schedules for tax and audit related work
· Mentor, train and develop junior staff in a team environment
· Provide consulting and client services while cultivating professional client relationships
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master’s degree a plus)
· 4 years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility
· CPA or EA License preferred
· Strong tax knowledge to develop and mentor staff
· Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, time management and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency (QuickBooks and ProSystem fx proficiency are a plus)
· Professional and reliable with the ability to work independently, juggle priorities and deadlines and communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff
