Spine West (spinewest.com) is a unique, award-winning outpatient Physiatry practice (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), seeking a full-time Medical Assistant.
About us: We are a highly respected, busy medical office in beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado with a fun, team-oriented environment that encourages individual growth. Our Medical Assistants help our physicians and PA's with patient check-ins and history taking, charting, procedure assistance, triaging, scheduling, medications and insurance authorizations. We pride ourselves on our inclusive, dynamic workplace with a keen focus on patient-centered care. Clinic is currently open Thursday and Friday with plans to extend to four days a week in the near future. As of now, the MA will work two days a week.
What we are looking for: A smart, energetic, reliable person with good interpersonal skills who is eager to learn - we like to teach. Full-time only.
You are a good fit if: You have a Bachelor's degree, you are friendly, compassionate, detail oriented and able to multitask. This is a great opportunity for those taking a gap year and looking to gain great clinical experience before embarking on a path into medicine. Our medical assistants have an excellent track record for acceptance to medical, PA, nursing, or PT schools.
No medical assistant - MA certification required. However, medical assistant experience preferred. All on-the-job training. No remote work, we are a hands-on, patient centered team. The following experience may be a plus: CMA, Certified Medical Assistant.
