What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Spine & Nerve Diagnostic Center?
Spine & Nerve Diagnostic Center is searching for a medical biller in our Granite Bay office. The successful candidate will have some medical billing experience, demonstrated success in collection of payor and/or patient balances, experience with an EMR/HER and experience with the Lytec billing platform is helpful but not required. The primary responsibilities may include:
- posting electronic and traditional payments from insurance payers and patients
- monitoring claim status for timely processing of payment
- monitoring reimbursements for accuracy
- researching rejected and denied claims
- responding to requests for medical documentation
- processing corrected claims and appeals
- promoting effective working relationships with payer utilization management teams
- monitoring patient aging
- monthly statement processing
- patient collection calls
- maintenance of patient payment plans
