Chiropractic Assistant / Medical Receptionist position available at an 18 year old Chiropractic office in Farmington, CT. Seeking a reliable, friendly, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent multi-tasking skills for PART TIME front desk and chiropractic assistant duties.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Maintaining a smooth workflow:
- Greeting patients
- Scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to messages in a timely manner
- Data Entry; Creating and maintaining electronic health records (EHR)
- General clerical functions including filing, copying, scanning, faxing
- Ensure a clean and organized office environment
Ensuring excellent patient care:
- Assist the doctor in aspects of patients’ care if/when called upon to do so. For example, setting up patients on electric stim, applying hot or cold packs, etc. (training available)
Supporting billing and insurance-related processes:
- Insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations
- Advise patients of their financial responsibility and collect payments
- Coordinate with our outsourced billing company during their processing of bills and insurance claims
- Handle Patient inquiries and Patient communication
Schedule:
- Approximately 24-28 hrs per week
- 3 days a week; No weekends
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare office receptionist or similar role
- Knowledge of Chiropractic care is a plus, but not necessary, training available to the right applicant
