  • SUMMARY: The Pre/Post-operative Staff Nurse is responsible for a wide range of duties and will be an integral part of our health care team. Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient assessments to identify care needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress and keep detailed records.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide post-operative and pre-operative care.
  • Assist in emergency medical procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies.
  • Perform routine medical tasks such as taking blood pressure, temperature, and pulse readings.
  • Educating patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care instructions.
  • Collaborating with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer vaccinations and other preventative care measures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the RN Administrator.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Specialized certifications such as ACLS or PALS.
  • ICU or Emergency Room experience
  • Previous experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Experience in critical care or emergency nursing.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Advanced training in specific medical areas such as oncology or cardiology.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused care delivery.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
