Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to identify care needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and keep detailed records.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care plans.
- Provide post-operative and pre-operative care.
- Assist in emergency medical procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies.
- Perform routine medical tasks such as taking blood pressure, temperature, and pulse readings.
- Educating patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care instructions.
- Collaborating with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer vaccinations and other preventative care measures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the RN Administrator.
Qualifications & Skills
- Specialized certifications such as ACLS or PALS.
- ICU or Emergency Room experience
- Previous experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Experience in critical care or emergency nursing.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Advanced training in specific medical areas such as oncology or cardiology.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
