Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks or similar commercial vehicles to deliver laundry orders across designated routes
- Load and unload laundry loads using manual handling techniques, forklifts or pallet jacks as needed, following safe lifting practices
- Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and weight handling standards during all driving and loading activities
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and document delivery details accurately in company systems
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow route schedules diligently to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns with a positive attitude
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with manual handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to safely handle heavy lifting and perform manual handling tasks in compliance with workplace safety standards
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission is a plus
- Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting safety practices
- Familiarity with DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace
- Customer service experience that highlights strong communication skills and professionalism on the road
