The FOHM is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced, guest-facing role. This position requires strong organizational skills, hands-on leadership, and a passion for service and team development. You’ll inspire our team to thrive, and your leadership will help shape a space where both team and guests feel a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and motivate all FOH staff during service periods, cultivating a positive, high-performing team culture
- Maintain all FOH staff scheduling and conduct timely performance reviews
- Hire and onboard new team members, ensuring alignment with Spinato’s values and guest service standards
- Execute FOH training, development plans, and team meetings to foster ongoing growth
- Oversee FOH inventory, ordering, and receiving processes
- Open and close the restaurant as scheduled, upholding operational excellence
- Act as General Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for operations and leadership
- Manage VCDs, DSRs, payroll, and financial tasks as needed
- Uphold all FOH cleaning, sanitation, and alcohol management protocols
- Ensure cash handling and POS procedures are completed with accuracy and integrity
- Address and resolve guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a focus on creating memorable outcomes
- Maintain an organized office and ensure all checklists and operational forms are current
- Assist with other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2–3 years of restaurant management experience preferred
- Current ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service, sanitation, and guest hospitality
- Familiarity with POS systems, time edits, labor and P&L metrics, and close-out processes
- Able to lead and support all FOH roles when needed
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working a full shift on your feet
