Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC is currently seeking an experienced labor and employment attorney to work in its Charleston WV office.
Qualified candidates will have 2 to 6 years’ employment and labor law experience and litigation experience, including drafting responsive pleadings, handling all aspects of the discovery process, drafting motions (including motions for summary judgment), depositions, and court appearances as well as experience with local, state, and federal agencies.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to exercise superior judgment and diplomacy while addressing sensitive or challenging employment issues with internal or external stakeholders, as well as the ability to think creatively and strategically. Must have a strong work ethic and strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well with a team.
