Job Summary:
The Non-Ferrous Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations. This role will supervise a small team while also assisting in the purchase of non-ferrous metals from retail customers. This role involves identifying, grading and weighing various non-ferrous metals while ensuring the day to day operations are efficient and organized. The ideal candidate will be computer-proficient, experienced with metal recycling processes, and capable of providing excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations while supervising warehouse associates.
- Perform standard warehouse tasks, including shipping and receiving.
- Manage, track, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Use computers and warehouse systems for purchasing and inventory management.
- Identify and grade various non-ferrous metals accurately (e.g., copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel).
- Use tools such as magnets, files, and analyzers to verify metal types.
- Operate certified scales to weigh incoming materials.
- Coordinate with office personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchasing transactions.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner while following all Company policies/procedures including required OSHA safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in metal recycling.
- Previous warehouse management experience.
- Strong computer skills and comfort with inventory software/systems.
- Strong knowledge of non-ferrous metals and grading standards.
- The ability to operate weighing equipment and metal analyzers.
- Ability to work standing or walking for up to 9 hours per day.
- Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule in line with business hours, operations, and expectations.
- Flexible to work overtime, off-hours, and weekends as needed.

Compensation:
- Competitive pay, dependent on education and experience.
Hours:
- Monday through Friday – 7am to 4pm
