Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated secondary English/Language Arts/Writing Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, providing writing feedback in a workshop format, and inspiring students to achieve their full potential in reading, writing, and critical thinking. This role requires a commitment to student success and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide small group tutoring sessions to students in person
- Grade students' homework using answer key
- Provide workshop on writing skills
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students
Experience
- A bachelor's degree is required. A degree in English, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid teacher certification is required
- Previous tutoring experience is preferred.
- ESL experience/certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with proofreading and copy editing techniques is an asset.
