Spicewood Cottages, located behind the Mountain Medical Complex in Clyde, NC, is looking for dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team. At Spicewood Cottages, we provide a smaller, more intimate atmosphere for retirement and assisted living, ensuring our residents feel at home while receiving the highest quality care.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Personal Care Assistant at Spicewood Cottages, you’ll play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents by providing compassionate care and support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, ambulation, and dining.
• Supporting medication management and administration.
• Helping maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with housekeeping, laundry, and linen services.
• Providing companionship and engaging with residents during activities organized by our full-time activities director.
• Collaborating with our on-site dietary manager to ensure residents enjoy nutritious meals and snacks.
• Responding promptly to residents’ needs, including using our monitored emergency call system.

• A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• No prior experience required—just a willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
