Job Summary: Spicer Greene Jewelers’ thriving watch shop, Watches on Wall Street, has grown significantly since opening in 2021 and is ready to invest further into becoming the Carolina’s leading destination for luxury pre-owned watch sales and service. Build your dream watch department backed by over 100 years of history, the Watchmaker and Preowned Watch Specialist will partner with our watch sales team and inventory manager to identify and acquire high-quality preowned luxury watches, ensuring that our inventory is up-to-date, authentic, and priced competitively.
The ideal candidate will embody an enthusiasm for luxury watches backed by expert knowledge of watch service and repair.
Responsibilities:
- Manage our preowned luxury watch inventory, pricing, and client outreach.
- Work closely with our inventory team to identify and acquire high-quality preowned luxury watches.
- Authenticate and evaluate preowned luxury watches to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Evaluate and purchase preowned watches from clients, ensuring authenticity and quality.
- Provide expert watch repair consultation and maintenance services, including cleaning, polishing, and servicing of mechanical and quartz watches.
- Coordinate services with outside watch vendors.
- Consult with clients and sales associates to provide expert insight during sales presentations
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the luxury watch industry.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and stay current with advancements in the industry
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury watch repair and maintenance
- Expert knowledge of luxury preowned watches, including authentication and evaluation.
- Experience in inventory management, pricing, and marketing of preowned luxury watches.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and quality.
- Familiarity with luxury watch brands and their repair and maintenance requirements.
- Degree or certification in watchmaking or equivalent experience.
