Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Mechanic role based in Orlando, FL. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. Daily tasks include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, completing corrective maintenance work orders, inspecting machinery for wear or potential failures, and documenting all service activities. The role also involves collaborating with production and sanitation teams to support changeovers, equipment setup, and continuous improvement projects, while following all safety, GMP, and food quality standards. The Maintenance Mechanic may assist with parts inventory, coordinate with vendors as needed, and participate in off-shift or weekend coverage based on operational needs.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for production and facility systems.
- Experience performing Preventive Maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Proficiency in Corrective Maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
- Background in Industrial Maintenance within manufacturing, food processing, or a similar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Working knowledge of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and GMP or food safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial or mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required, work in a production environment, and support various shifts as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
