Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items by highlighting specials, wine pairings, or premium options to maximize sales
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and serving
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and wait times
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including culinary ingredients and preparation methods
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience with guest services, serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Excellent communication skills to foster guest relations and team collaboration
